Topics covered include our fish/lake/groundwater analysis of structural racism; “markedness” theory; definitions of race and racism; history and legacy of race in American economic and policy development; the role of the individual within the racial arrangement; the intersection of race and other marginalized identities; colorism and anti-black bias within communities of color in the US and internationally and an overview of how different groups - “Black,” “White,” “Native American,” “Asian,” and “Hispanic,” were created and positioned differently in a “racial arrangement” that serves to maintain inequity for all.
